About Us

Who We Are

PHONE ZONE was formed in 2011. We started out selling thick skins from the USA called Gizmobies. Initially we had one kiosk in Riccarton Mall and have since branched out into 12 stores nationwide including Christchurch, Auckland, Queenstown, Nelson, Invercargill, Hastings and Wellington.

From 2014 our specialty has been servicing Phones, iPads, tablets and computers – with our team of over 25 highly qualified technicians we have fixed over 100,000 devices so far and numbers are growing every day. We also sell numerous electronic accessories.

Robin Marcroft is the director of the company.

Robin oversees the business as a whole and is also a registered electrician. He does the occasional electrical installation when he is not working on the Phone business. He is married to Sue (who is a flight attendant) and is a passionate snow skier and avid gym user who loves travelling, and has 2 adult children.

Robin is also an Electrician, so he does the electrical installations in any new store or renovation of an existing store and loves the challenge of creating exciting new designs and new lighting concepts.

We pride ourselves on having a business where the customers are our priority and receive the best quality products and professional customer service. We can welcome customers inside to what we think are high quality, visual stores.

We are always looking for potential new locations through the country to expand our business model and make annual trips overseas to look for unique quality products and to ensure we are dealing with the best suppliers of products in our industry.
